Mae Lao Playing with Tong

The lush rice fields of Mae Lao District are a testament to its fertile land. The district is the home to a thriving community of farmers and artisans who create handicrafts, music, and art. The Mae Lao Artists Pavilion presents the “Mae Lao Playing with Tong” art festival, which reflects the way of life that is intertwined with agriculture and blends with the local culture that has been passed down for generations. Through contemporary performances, music, and a variety of art forms, the festival aims to connect the cultural way of life with people from both within and outside the community. It presents the beauty of art, nature, and culture, which flow freely and independently. The works on display include paintings, installation , performance art, outdoor sculptures, art, music, food, and many more contemporary performances.
