Beyond the Boundaries

Korean Craft Art, with its rich cultural and historical heritage, reflects the Korean people's values and traditions. Nevertheless, it is also a style that flourishes and adapts to new environments and cultures, incorporating new elements into its designs.

Embracing the “Open World” concept, the Korean Pavilion presents dynamic Korean Craft Art forms which illustrate how Korean artists mix their traditional perspectives of openness, appreciation and respect of foreign culture, with global art influences.

Additionally, the Open World concept provides a diverse, global audience the opportunity to experience the incredible beauty and versatility of Korean Craft Art, opening a gateway to Korea's past, present, and future. The combination of Korean Craft Art's masterful skill and the universality of “Open World" highlights how art can bring distinct elements together to come up with something unique.
