Weaving Chakma, 2017-2018 (ongoing)
A complete view of the installation. India and Bangladesh on either side with woven imagined DNA patterns by weavers from India and Bangladesh. This installation is 16 feet wide and 12 feet tall. This site-specific work takes 6 days to install and was commissioned for the Dhaka Art Summit in 2018. Since then, this work has been shown at the ParaSite in Hong Kong 2018, at the Minister Building (Secretariat), Yangon, Myanmar, 2018; Concrete, Dubai, 2019; and the Nature Morte Gallery, New Delhi, 2019. The Myanmar (Burma) part will be an addition to this installation for the first time, making it an even larger piece of work.
