CINEMA FOR ALL PAVILION

A point of contact for cinema that is diverse, historical, emerging, and expanded in form, CINEMA FOR ALL, brings EXPANDED CINEMA closer to the public in Thailand and continues the vision of nurturing a new generation of artists and filmmakers.

The CINEMA FOR ALL PAVILION is a collateral pavilion of the Thailand Biennale curated by Josh Siegel, Film Curator at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. It is a collaboration with the Artistic Directors of the Thailand Biennale, Gridthiya Gaweewong and Rirkrit Tiravanija. The Pavilion will host screenings of archival and emerging films from around the world at Ban Maema School from December 10th - February 29th, 2024, and thereafter at the Chiang Rai International Art Museum (CIAM) until April 30th, 2024. The film program is free of charge for everyone. The Pavilion forms one component of the CINEMA FOR ALL project which will also include under its umbrella a special VR performance by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, CONVERSATION WITH THE SUN from January 25th - 29th as well as discussions and workshops hosted by Common Move. CINEMA FOR ALL is supported by CHANEL.
